mycatlulu........

Lulu is leading me astray....just kidding! She is a member of CCCOE, which I just recently joined--Ca Crafters on etsy.

She featured me in her 90 in 90 days, so I went to her blog and it made me happy--so here are some facts about *mycatlulu*!

✭✭MyCatLulu ✭✭
Lulu is one of the cutest cats out there. She has great big eyes and really soft fur. She reminds one of an anime cat, but only better–no crazy effects...though her purr could use a little more volume.

Professional facts:
BA in Art
Day Job: Desktop Publisher
Trained in Photoshop, Indesign, gocco, her medium format camera, black and white darkroom, and the color darkroom.

She's a lover not a fighter who enjoys the company of people, the songs of birds, and an occasional Mia tai. Don't like mean people, but really who would. Don't own bowling shoes, but she did play in a league when she was in 5th grade. Other than art,her passion is traveling. Her last trip took me to Kauai, Hawaii...lovely.

PersonalTreasures is Phyllis Mufson, a jewelry artisan and a creative career and small business coach. She started making jewelry while directing the Locks Career Center at Moore College of Art & Design, an inspiring environment where she worked with wonderfully creative people.

Now she works in her sunny living room where she talks with clients and has all of her jewelry equipment close at hand. Her design inspiration is her 23-story “bead condo” – clear, stacking sectioned boxes brimming with color-coordinated gold and silver, gemstones and pearls.

Earlier in her life, she was a textile artist and that sensibility influences her designs. Phyllis is concerned with how the jewelry drapes and moves with the body. She is also inspired by her customers.

If you like Personal Treasures but are looking for something more simple or casual please visit her Mufi Jewels store at http://mufi.etsy.com.

Phyllis also has a blog where she writes about creativity and creative people – http://personaltreasures.blogspot.com.

Great skin care items!--Mineralmagic

Mineralmagic takes great pride in her makeup line and guarantee 100% satisfaction.

Mineral makeup is pure, crushed minerals from the earth, that improves your skin condition.

It has a high SPF - she uses 10% zinc in my formulas. Studies have indicated that 6% provides SPF up to 20, depending on how much you apply.
It is an anti-inflamatory for your skin, as well.

Mineralmagic's makeup does NOT contain bismuth oxychloride, which is kin to arsenic, and is most likely the reason for skin discomfort and bad skin reaction.

Since these minerals are 100% pure, bacteria cannot be supported and there is no expiration date. If you wet the minerals, the above expiration does not apply.

There is also virtually no allergy risk. Alas, never say never. It won't clog your pores and is used as a mineral supplement for your skin.

Mineralmagic went to Rutgers University for purchasing and finance, and Manatee College for radiography and she is also a licensed cosmetologist.

Cryztalvision--beautiful * creezzztals* ;>))

Cryztalvision has so many beautiful pieces, it was difficult to choose- but these are my favorites!

Cryztalvision's name is Beth Alexander.

She states that she has been fascinated by crystals and stones for as long as she can remember.
She also had some wonderful teachers during her childhood who passed on their passion for nature, geology, crystals and gemstones. Beth comes from a long line of artistic souls on her father's side of the family. Her great grandmother was a very talented artist who started painting late in life. She left behind some amazing oil paintings that Beth will always treasure. She also painted and fired china, she had a fantastic eye for detail and could paint tiny pictures small enough to fit on a thimble. Beth's father was an accomplished, well rounded artist and crafts person and spent many years teaching art in the public school system.

Beth/Crystalvision has been creating unique pieces of jewelry for almost 20 years now, and she is still excited by the process. She says that she has an insatiable appetite for learning new techniques that push the boundaries of her creativity. Along the way she has also been drawn to studying and practicing various energy healing arts, like Reiki, chakra balancing, Earth based energy medicine, shamanic practices, and Angel Therapy. She has found combining her love of minerals, her artistic eye and skill in jewelry fabrication and design, along with her heightened sensitivity to energies creates a powerful synergy. She loves to immerse herself in the creative process and I'm fascinated when some pieces seem to magically design themselves. Beth is pleased to share my passion with you on etsy!

It is Beth's hope that you will find a very special piece that speaks to your heart.

What's with the "Z" in Cryztalvisions? You may ask. It's an homage to one of her wonderful teachers who pronounced crystals: "creezzztals"

You can see her most recent creations in my flickr photo stream:

From a grama of twins to a mom of twins!! KuddleBugzThreadz

Being the 'mammam' of twin girls, I really appreciate all the sweet things that Toni makes! And am in awe of her ability to find time to do it! Our 'twinnies' always want to 'help'! I love the tag blanket--I actually made some almost like that for our girlies and they loved them! Their mommy has them packed up in their baby boxes to save for them ( they're 4 1/2)

Sweet things, Toni-- very sweet! ;>)

KuddleBugzThreadz is Toni and she is the mother of two wonderful little twin girls!

She lives way up North where it gets VERY cold in the winter...-50 degrees F! (And yes, there really is a place called North Pole! It is about 10 miles from Fairbanks, AK.) The winters do get long, but it is absolutely breath taking in Alaska! The summer days are amazing with such long days!

Toni is most famous for being "Mommy" to her 18 month old twin daughters! She says she never knew she had so much love in her until she became a mother! They are so precious to Toni!

And they are the inspiration for KuddleBugz Threadz! With the need in Fairbanks for warm baby items, she felt a tug at her heart to use her talents to help other mom's! Tori and Trista inspired the name "KuddleBugz", they are truly her little kuddlebugz!

Keep your little ones warm and cozy this winter with a beautiful Infant Car Seat Cover! For those tiny toes pick up a pair of warm and cozy booties! Don't have a NEW Baby? How about new hat or pair of mittens for that Toddler in your life?

Paulette Insall--beautiful work! Look, look,look!

Prints, paintings, notecards, pendants- are just a few of the examples of Paulette's art--please check out her etsy store and drool over the beautiful examples of her excellent work!

Like many other artists, Paulette has been creative from a very young age. From making knotted bracelets and hair accessories as a child to taking photos for her high school year book when she was older. She never thought of herself as an artist until a few years ago. For many years she dreamed of painting, but could never bring herself to pick up a paint brush until October of 2006. That's when her love of creating stories with paint and paper began.

These days when she’s not busy entertaining her very busy four year old son, you will find her stealing any moment she can in her home studio pouring her thoughts and emotions out into the visual stories she creates through her art.

Please visit my website to view more work or my blog to see what I'm up to and chat.

ARTIST STATEMENT: Paulette Insall:

"My art is about the search for connection…to self, to like minded spirits, to family, and to God. Most of my work depicts a sole woman because these are the stories of my own personal search and the emotions they invoke within my soul. My hope is that the visual stories I create with my art touch people from all walks of life and let them know that they are not alone…and find comfort in that knowing."

Elektrajewelry....so lovely!

* Double Delight* - keishi fresh water pearls shaped like cornflakes! So elegant!

Elektrajewelry is a sparkle freak. Things that shimmer and shine have always attracted her. As a child, she glittered everything she could get her hands on and always left a trail of glitter behind her. Her love of sparkle only intensified when she started to wear and admire jewelry. Her exposure to Greek artisan jewelers from a very young age and her Greek background have influenced her love of 18k and 24k gold and her choice to work with gold vermeil.(24k gold layered over sterling silver)

She chose the name Elektra for her shop because it means bright and shining. She makes one of a kind jewelry pieces to accommodate many different styles and fashion trends. Her time and energy is devoted to creating pieces that can be worn and enjoyed for years to come.

She loves to work with gold vermeil, Bali sterling silver,semi-precious stones and vintage glass beads. Lampwork beads and Venetian Murano glass have become some of her favorite materials. The colors of these beautful Venetian beads are so exceptional, they add another dimension to her jewelry. She uses top quality findings and stones to create unique pieces which she does not duplicate. Each piece is yours alone.

and yes, another great etsyian! Anne Dundas

Is this bracelet great or what? I love it! Spring Carnivale!

Anne Dundas says hi from Sydney, Australia!!

She has been creating jewellery since early 2004. It quickly became a passion which helped fill the time while caring for her mum who has MS.

Jewellery then lead her to the wonderful world of lampwork beads. Yet another way to play with colours. It's such a thrill to play with molten glass watching it flow and form beautiful objects.

She also spends her time designing business cards, etc for other jewellery designers. If you'd like to check them out, you can find her designs at: www.annedundas.com/graphics

Having formerly created stained glass works of art, She has been waiting for 12 years since moving to Tennessee to have a studio in her backyard to continue in that medium ~ hopefully her wish for a studio will come to be and she can again work with stained glass and maybe sell her creations on Etsy!

cigarboxbeads wishes she could have a studio, as well---wouldn't that be the most wonderful thing!

stepped out for a bit-but I'm baaaaaaaaak! ;>)

It was a busy weekend--took hubby to Costco---arrrgggghhhhh---he loves it--I don't! I've told my entire family, if I ever take him there again, I need to be committed!
Even hubby said it was the most crowded he'd EVER seen it--and he was in one of those little motorized cars---which I hate--but, it got him around. One of the problems was that I would go to get something and tell him to NOT MOVE...well, you got it---he kept driving off. I had NO fun at all!!1!!11!1 seriesly!!1!!1 ;>) ( The pic I just uploaded was my mood after Costco!- actually, this was a pic of one of the twinnies, in a bad mood--years ago! ;>) )

I also have been working on getting rid of stuff and reorganizing blah, blah... I got most of my yarn in cute little boxes instead of baskets sitting all over--now I need to find a place for the boxes. I had a huge pile of magazines, saved up to read- give away, whatever--so I went through some of those too---tore out the cute things and pics I wanted to keep---which I'll probably never do anything with either. But I could sit down while I was doing it!

Later today, I'll be posting some more 90 in 90 days etsyians....stay tuned.

arosebyname's Profile

"I am a self-employed wife and mother of two teenage daughters. I enjoy beading and find that it is my therapy for stress!

My daughters and I first tried beading many years ago. Over the years, the beads have gotten smaller and the designs more intricate. Although my girls no longer bead, they enjoy wearing the pieces that I have created.

Etsy Street Teams are awesome and I have become a part of this fantastic group!
